POST FALLS, Idaho (Sept. 19, 2017) — The 2017 Idaho Innovation Awards Program announced Tedder Industries LLC is a finalist in two out of five total award categories.
Alien Gear Holsters’ ShapeShift Modular Holster System was listed as a finalist in the consumer product of the year category, and Tedder Industries was announced as a finalist for the innovative company of the year award.
Alien Gear Holsters is owned and operated by Tedder Industries.
Three finalists are listed in each category, and winners will be announced at the eighth annual Idaho Technology Council “Hall of Fame” featuring the Idaho Innovation Awards presented by Stoel Rives on October 24 at Boise Centre.
Thomas Tedder, CEO and founder of Tedder Industries, said the announcement is a testament to the thousands of labor hours, dozens of prototypes and years of rigorous testing by several interdisciplinary teams.
“I’m proud of the time and effort each team poured into supporting American gun owners,” Tedder said. “Innovation and research are fundamental to our mission to help protect friends and family.”
All nominations are evaluated by the Idaho Innovation Awards Selection Committee, which is comprised of Idaho business and technology leaders.
The ShapeShift Modular Holster System features a singular holster shell (dubbed the “Shift Shell”) that can be easily and quickly reconfigured into most firearms carry styles on and off the body.
The Shift Shell is made from injection-molded polymer, a more reliable, durable material than most market offerings across the U.S.
The ShapeShift holster is a hybrid holster made in America out of multiple materials that improve safety, comfort, retention, concealment and customization for all gun owners.
